Worcester Royals Beat Gloucestershire Gladiators - Crowned Varsity Champions Second Year Running

The Royals overcame a brave Gloucestershire fightback to hold on and beat their fierce rivals 42 - 34. The result notched up their second American Football Varsity win in as many years, capping off the 2015/16 season in the best possible way.
In a game where offense was key the Royals' ground attack overpowered the Gladiator's defense, scoring 6 touchdowns in one of the most nail biting finishes imaginable as Gloucestershire fell just short.
QB Kieran Salais crossed the goal line three times from short range, whilst running backs Markeec Stephen, Mike Harris and George Salter all added a touchdown to their name.
