It’s been several months but the wait is finally over. Royals league football is back tomorrow and there are sure to be fireworks when they travel to face old division rivals Staffordshire Stallions for the first time since 2012

Keys to victory!

Royals will be hoping to continue the impressive and explosive offensive displays from last season that saw them put up over 30 points on three occasions, helping them to a 5 - 2 record and securing their place in the BUCS Midlands Division 1A for the 2015/16 season. I

What will be needed again however is more stout work on the defensive side of the ball. The three shutouts and the two occasions holding opponents to a single score will be something this years D will be looking to emulate on Sunday.

The Opponents!

Staffordshire Stallions, based in Stoke-on-Trent, played their first American Football season in 1992 and have a decorated history, reaching the playoffs countless times, participating in numerous plate appearances, are four time divisional champions and two time conference champions.

They, like the Royals, are coming off their first winning season for some time and will also be looking to continue that momentum they finished with at the end of last year.

What happened last time?

Royals and Stallions haven’t played each other since February 2012, before the league fell under BUCS control, with the latter coming out 38 - 0 victors on the Royals home patch.
